Chocolart Corporation has developed Laser-marking Technology to print illustrations and photos on chocolate.
This is the first-in-the-world method and easy technology to prepare customized chocolate with pulsed laser marking system.

This technology and its products were exhibited at FOODEX JAPAN 2010 and 2011 held in Tokyo, Japan.
At the 2010's exhibition, 'bite-size' chocolate product of Chocolart received JETRO(Japan External Trade Organization) award.
Please refer to JETRO Homepage in detail.

There're several methods that make it possible to draw on chocolate using some
kinds of printer, but this is another way to make beautiful treats without using any additional ingredients or foreign materials, e.g. suger sheets, edible ink, other colouring materials, or different colour chocolate.

The drawing technology is very unique. It uses the phenomenon that rough- surface colour of the chocolates hit by laser-beam looks different from the original smooth surface colour of the chocolate due to light scattering.
And the flavour and/or scent of chocolate is not affected by laser-marking because of its specified operating condition.

●Features
This method does not require preparation of mold, or block copy. So, production of 'many models in small quantities' is available and short delivery time is attained.
Other features are,
1)low cost operation
2)less loss of chocolates with laser-irradiation
3)long-term preservation without any quality problem
4)drawing-part will not come off the chocolate under temperature variation
5)exquisite expression available
6)no bloom appearance after laser-marking

●Patent application
This technology has been patented in Japan, Switzerland, Germany, France, England, USA, China, and Korea.
Please refer to PCT Pub.No.WO2007/105666

●Technology transfer available for overseas countries
